This story was a bit of a heart breaker, if you or anyone you know has ever dealt with Cancer you know that fear of it coming back is always at the back of your mind and for Murphy this is his third bout with it. We watch as he undergoes treatments and reconnects with old friends while taking his relationship with his best friend into uncharted territory.
Tessa and Murphy are good together and I think the fact that they weighed the options of becoming involved vs. staying just friends was a wise one. I do believe that there was no way they wouldn't become more than just friends, they always had a flirty banter going on and it was clear to everyone that they were attracted to one another. Yes Murphy has a lot going on right now but what better way to get through it all than with your best friend by your side.
I really enjoyed reading about Tessa and Murphy and while this is the last of the Gallagher Brothers series I know they will be popping up again in other books since they are so closely intertwined with the Montgomery Family (Montgomery Ink) and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them.
